Babywearing Stash

Over at Adventures in Babywearing, Steph is asking everyone to show off their babywearing stash. I actually have a pouch sling, ring sling and two of these:
Both my husband and I prefer to carry her in the backpack. For my husband, he feels less dorky. For me, I have issues with backpain and one chubby little baby so this seems to distribute the weight much better! Anna absolutely loves being carried. She actually gets frustrated in the ring sling and pouch sling but in the backpack she is happy from the word go! It has been especially great when we are on trips, like San Francisco when we didn't even take a stroller. She is at eye level to everything and we can get in and out of places so much easier.

Do you love your slings too?

Nice visiting your blog. Your little one might enjoy a mei tai which is a lot like the carrier you have now but you can use it till she is much older, it might also be easier on your back.

I use a mei tai now but so many people have such good things to say about the ergo... im trying to convince hubby on why I need it at the moment ( :

I will be back to visit! Read you soon!

I don't think my boy likes the pouch too much either...we've never had any issues with the Bjorn though.

She looks darling in the backpack!

I have a Patapum, which is SUPER comfortable for me - I was never that comfortable in those other backpacks - but the Patapum distributes my 25-lb. son's weight all to my hips, and it's comfortable on my back, even now that I'm pregnant again! :)

i'm interested in possibly trying a sling wrap of some sort when baby 3 comes...but honestly, i might be too cheap to invest...i tend to not feel all that comfortable in anything but my bjorn.

Thanks for the comment on my post - yes, when I was talking about the wraps, I bought 7 yards of fabric (but a smaller person than me could buy less, a Moby is abt. 6 yards long) - and then cutting it lengthwise left me with 2 pieces of material about 2 feet wide and 7 yards long. I don't sew or anything, but it was super easy. :)

That's so hard about your hubby not getting to see the kids so many days...:( I am so blessed that we live right where my hubby works (for now, we work at camp together, but I'm quitting at the end of the summer camp season to stay home - finally, yay!!!) Anyway - we can walk up the hill to visit him anytime we want, which is a blessing during the summer when he works from 7 am to 10 pm most days!! :) Glad you enjoyed my blog! :)
