Friday's Feast

Appetizer

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how much do you look forward to your birthday?

Honestly, it depends on the year. Now that I'm older not at all. It falls in the middle of a bunch of other stuff like Valoween, Anniversary, my daughter's birthday, Easter, so it often gets forgotten. It's just really not a big deal anymore.

Soup

What is one word you don’t like the sound, spelling, or meaning of?

The F bomb. I just think it's crude. I think it's an offensive word that people just use to shock and because it is so overused like that, it just sounds ignorant. Just my opinion, of course.

Salad

Do you wear sunglasses when you’re outside? If so, what does your current pair look like?

No, because I am always losing them. I buy cheap ones that never fit right and wind up giving me a headache. The pair this year was like a Nicole Richie, big dark thing going on.

Main Course

If you were to write a book, to whom would you dedicate it?

It would depend what the book was and who inspired it. More than likely my family though as they would have to be the ones supporting and sacrificing for it.

Dessert

Name a beverage that you enjoy.

Grape juice. It's sweet and tart. It stays on your tongue for a long time too. I just drank some and it was yummy! A bit like communion, but yummy nonetheless.

I agree with you I wouldn't know to whom I would dedicate a book when I don't know what it will be, lol !

You don't hear of many people liking grape juice. Well, I don't, LOL! Thanks for stopping by!

I love grape juice too, not white grape juice but the dark stuff!

Interesting choice of grape juice. I'm not a juice girl myself. We share the cheap salad thing too--have a great Friday.

Yes yes yessity yes to your soup. I had to go out front last night and ask some boys (aged about 10) to stop using that word as my son was playing in the garden. I hear it everywhere, and although I don't think it ever needs to be usedI cannot stand the way everything becomes F****** this and F****** that. Wish I had the courage to tell people they would get more respect and appear a lot more mature if they could control their mouths!
Ok, rant over :) Hope you and yours have a very Happy Friday. Love the header quote on your blog btw.

Hi Amy. I can relate about birthdays. It used to be more exciting and fun when I was younger. But I still enjoy having special people over on that day.

Being a diabetic, I have to be so careful what I drink and such, but I remember grandmother always had various juices in the frig for us. Thanks for the wonderful memory of a great lady for me with the grape juice!

I agree, the F bomb is horrible. I hear it way more than I'd care to, and I think people really need to be aware of using it or should I say 'over' using it in public. Kids don't need to hear it at all! Great feast!

Grape juice brings back memories of my Grandmother- when I'd visit her, she would wake me up by rubbing my back & handing me a glass of purple Concord grape juice- thanks for the memory from 30+ years gone by *sigh*
I always, always wear sunglasses- I'm over 40, but almost no wrinkles from squinting :)
